Ditch Hitch Sponsor At 2015 PSAC Stars & Spurs Gala
As a member of the Petroleum Safety Association of Canada (PSAC), Ditch Hitch proudly sponsored the 2015 Annual PSAC Stars and Spurs Gala, helping to raise over 1 million dollars to support the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society (STARS). STARS provides time, hope and life-saving transport to critically ill and injured patients in helicopters outfitted as mobile intensive care units.
Ditch Hitch Featured on The Battalion Fire Fighters Reality Web TV!
Principal Photography for The Battalion, a web-based Firefighter/1st Responder Series, starts on September 3rd with the fire department at the Edmonton Airport. This production focused on the fire service in Alberta, the filming of a segment of this series featured the Valley View Fire Department and its use of the live saving Ditch Hitch on September 14th and 15th. Ditch Hitch Supports CEO Rescue in the Rockies for STARS Fund Raiser
The Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society (STARS) have announced another successful fundraising event. CEO Rescue in the Rockies for STARS raised a staggering $975,000 in one day. For the fourth year, STARS partnered with five prominent Calgary-based CEOs and dropped them into Kananaskis Country, near Bragg Creek via helicopter. Using only their cell phones to collect donations, the CEOs had no choice but to “dial” for their survival by remaining on the mountain until they raised a goal of $100,000 each, at which point they were “rescued” by STARS Air Ambulance.
