As a member of the Petroleum Safety Association of Canada (PSAC), Ditch Hitch proudly sponsored the 2015 Annual PSAC Stars and Spurs Gala, helping to raise over 1 million dollars to support the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society (STARS). STARS provides time, hope and life-saving transport to critically ill and injured patients in helicopters outfitted as mobile intensive care units. STARS is a non-profit, charitable organization where approximately 70% of the funding comes from the community. “We are humbled by the support we received from PSAC and those who participated in the gala this year,” says Andrea Robertson, STARS’ president and CEO. “21 years and more than 11 million dollars raised has led to thousands of lives saved. This partnership reflects the commitment our community has to helping others.”
The Petroleum Services Association of Canada is the national trade association representing the service, supply and manufacturing sectors within the upstream petroleum industry. PSAC represents a diverse range of nearly 230 member companies, employing more than 70,000 people and contracting almost exclusively to oil and gas exploration and production companies.
